Conduct & Ethics

This document was last updated on January 29, 2021

Salty believes in establishing the highest possible ethical standards and is committed to providing fair, transparent, and uncompromising service for all users, along with complete confidentiality and attention to detail. Everyone is entitled to work in an environment free of harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind.

Harassment, bullying, and discrimination take various forms, including:

  • Unwelcome comments, gestures, or physical contact.
  • Displaying or distributing offensive, derogatory, or sexually explicit pictures or other materials.
  • Offensive or derogatory jokes or comments (direct or via innuendo).
  • Verbal or physical abuse or threats.

Salty takes seriously its obligation to maintain a welcoming and safe environment for everyone.

We treat each other with respect and dignity.

We have guidelines to ensure everyone feels comfortable:

Respect others. We often work collaboratively, so always be considerate of others — especially when you disagree.

No harassment – ever. Salty is committed to providing a comfortable, safe experience for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment in any form.

Take a stand. If someone makes you feel uncomfortable, if you notice a potentially dangerous situation or see someone being harassed, please let a Salty employee know.

If any participant engages in harassing behavior, Salty will take action we deem appropriate based upon the offending behavior: this may include warning the offender or expulsion from the event. Participation at Salty events is at our sole discretion, and we will ask people who are disrespecting others and violating the code to leave or exclude them if necessary.

If you ever encounter questionable conduct, please alert a Salty team member immediately. All Salty employees, and the vendors we choose to work with, are committed to assisting those experiencing discomfort due to other stakeholders’ actions.

You can also report any incidents, issues, questions, or concerns confidentially to conduct@wearesalty.com.
